What We Offer

Our programmes are crafted with research, community engagement and lived experience at the centre. Explore our core initiatives:

Sustainable Agriculture & Farming Support

Sustainable Agriculture & Farming Support

FarmCom’s sustainable agriculture programme helps community members, especially smallholder farmers, adopt modern and climate-smart farming practices. It provides training on effective farming techniques, guidance on soil health, crop diversification, and distribution of agricultural inputs such as seeds and tools. These efforts aim to increase crop yields, strengthen food security, and enable families to achieve self-sustainability.

Environmental Conservation

Environmental Conservation

The environmental conservation programme focuses on protecting and restoring vital ecosystems, with a particular emphasis on mangrove forests along the Kilifi coast. FarmCom engages local youth and community members in planting and maintaining mangroves, while also running awareness campaigns on sustainable resource management. This programme not only preserves biodiversity but also reduces environmental degradation and fosters long-term ecological resilience.

Climate Change Initiatives

Through its climate change initiatives, FarmCom educates communities about the impacts of climate change and equips them with strategies to adapt. This includes training farmers on climate-smart agricultural practices and helping communities respond to extreme weather events such as droughts or floods. The programme strengthens resilience and ensures that livelihoods remain sustainable despite environmental challenges.
